C4 to T5 Swap
(Continued)

I replaced the cable pull style fork on the t5 bellhousing to the old school mechanical push style fork. A one inch thick spacer was used to place the fork closer to the flywheel. The spacer is placed one inch from the fork opening and then using the spacer as a guide, mark where the holes need to be drilled in the bellhousing and then counter sink the holes for the bolt heads. The spacer is needed to take care of the one inch deeper t5 bellhousing. The tab cast into the bellhousing for the cable is cut off with a cutoff wheel for the clutch pushrod clearance.

I took the flywheel I got at the junkyard to the machine shop to get resurfaced and had them replace the starter ring since it had a few bad teeth in a couple of places. If I didn't, I know with my luck the flywheel would stop in the wrong place every time.

The 10" RAM diaphragm clutch kit along with the t5 motor plate to match the 5.0 bellhousing. A Hurst Billet/Plus SST shifter replaced the factory shifter.
