I'm nobody special, just your average gearhead who likes
old cars. I started getting interesting
in how things work at an early age. I think I was around 4 years old
when I found a small screwdriver and took my Dad's alarm clock apart.
I was born in '55
so this put me at the right age when Ford came out with the
Mustang. This is when the Gearhead Bug bit me. I was lucky to experience the muscle cars of the
60's and 70's, hanging out on Friday and Saturday nights, street racing
and talking cars with the guys, chasing girls all night.
2003-2004 I had health issues that eventually put me out of work for
9 consecutive months. I was forced to cashed my 401k to pay doctor bills
and tax penalties. I still ended up losing my house. Looks like
everybody wants to kick you while you are down. I was able to return to
work in February of '05 only to go back out August '06. It looks like I
will have to take an early retirement.
