Subframe Connectors
I purchase these Global West subframe connectors from Jeg's. I added some 18 gauge
filler metal
inside the channel to get a snug fit on my frame rail. I used a
C-clamp to pull (1/4") the subframe connector flat with the rear
frame rail on one side. This held it in place long enough to weld. The other side fit like a glove. This
really showed me how much my frame rails were twisted. The seat support
brace was
notched for clearance. Other than that, and prepping the frame rails to
get a clean bead when welding, it is a simple project. I
could feel the difference before I got my foot off the clutch. This
really tighten up the feel and handling. Thanks PBrown for crawling
under your Falcon with a measuring tape and getting me the numbers I
needed.
